C-130 Hercules Royal Moroccan Air Force
on 26 July 2011, the transport plane C-130 Hercules Royal Moroccan Air Force, Royal Moroccan air force crashed under Guelmim, Morroco. Statement by the Moroccan authorities reported that there was 78 dead and that the plane was carrying 60 members of the Moroccan armed forces, 12 civilians and nine members of crew. Three of the wounded were saved, but eventually died from blood poisoning. The death toll subsequently revised to 80. Workers have established bodies of 42 victims.
The C-130 Hercules Royal Moroccan Air Force was built in 1981. The crew flew from Dakhla airport in Western Sahara on the air base Kenitra, with a planned stop on the way to Guelmim .
