Mammoth Hydra from GTA 5

Hydra is a military VTOL jet plane/fighter, engineered and manufactured by an automobile company Mammoth, which parodies the real-existing brand Hummer (now defunc, though) of a General Motors division.

Mammoth Hydra made it's first appearance to GTA 4 community in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, but since then it disappeared from the series until GTA 5. Let's make a notion, that Hydra is the first military plane in the history of Grand Theft Auto series. Then, this VTOL fighter appeared in GTA 5 trailers, but it mystically, without leaving a trace, disappeared. However, soon the plane made it's comeback in DLC "Heists". Thereof, Mammoth Hydra can not be obtained by an way in singleplayer of GTA 5, and in multiplayer (GTA: Online) you can get it only through completing a mission "Humane raid - EMP" and then buying it for three million dollars on the Warstock Cache and Carry website.

Mammoth Hydra can be switched from vertical stance into horizontal by a single button press. When engines are in horziontal stance, Hydra can achieve top speeds comparable to the one's of JuBuilt P-996 LAZER, it is noticeably less manoeuvrable, though. In the vertical stance Hydra turns into some kind of a helicopter, and it can deal with ground targets much more efficiently (though it also becomes more vulnerable for returning fire). Hydra has both lock-on and non-lock-on rockets to fire, they have less range that one's of P-996 LAZER, however.

Mammoth Hydra is based on British Aerospace Harries II.
